Take the first steps towards a Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics.

If you think like an engineer and execute like an artist, you’re cut out for the University of Pittsburgh’s masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics program. You’ll learn how to restore function and independence in others by evaluating, casting and custom-fitting artificial limbs and braces for people whose lives have been altered due to weakness, paralysis or loss of limbs.

Start working with pediatric and adult patient models during your first two weeks and gain even greater hands-on experience in the field under the supervision of physical and occupational therapists, rehabilitation engineers, physicians and researchers. State-of-the-art facilities, experienced faculty, visits to innovative manufacturing facilities and domestic and international internships will prepare you for in-demand jobs in a cutting-edge industry.
