The Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for issuing, negotiating, and executing subawards (also known as subcontracts). A subaward is defined as a formal agreement by which responsibility for a substantial portion of the work is transferred from the University (the pass through entity) to a third-party (the subrecipient).
