Africana Studies Program

Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences (All Campuses)

  • This Task has been designed for use by all roles. For all roles
The mission of Africana Studies is to be a clearinghouse of knowledge for the broadly conceptualized African-derived experience, a project unified by a vision to maintain and manage a structured curriculum based on a disciplinary paradigm and on the African-centered worldview, both of which reinforce academic and practical orientations, behaviors, and policy. This includes the study, research, interpretation, and dissemination of knowledge pertaining to affairs and experiences of African-identified societies in North America, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South and Central America, and other regions of the Diaspora.
